The Art of Disney Exhibition at the Miraikan (National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation located in Odaiba, Tokyo) by the Walt Disney Animation Research Library and partnered with Nippon Television Network Corporation, The Yomiuri Shimbun, and WOWOW INC. Team Lab was brought on to install this interactive experience as an add-on to the standing show, an infinity room that would immerse the guest in a sea of floating lanterns from the film Tangled.
My role in this exhibit was creating the patterns for the lanterns using production art from Claire Keane, finalize the layout of each 187 lanterns, and oversee the installation.
A full write up on the experience by D23 can be found here.
